Smash Burgers
Trendy smash burgers that can be easily made at home, ready in under 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 oz ground beef
- onions
- salt
- black pepper
- American cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- pickle juice
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
Instructions
- Thinly slice onions using a mandolin or knife
- Roll ground beef into 4 oz balls
- Prepare burger sauce by combining mayo, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pickle juice, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Taste and adjust to your liking
- Heat a non-stick pan over high heat
- Add beef ball to hot pan and season generously with salt and pepper
- Add a small handful of sliced onions on top of the burger
- Smash the burger as hard as you can using a spatula
- Scrape and flip the burger after a couple of minutes
- Immediately add sliced American cheese to both top and bottom bun
- Place burger on buns so the cheese can steam
- Assemble burger and serve
