The 'Animal Style' Secret Spread

In-N-Out style animal sauce that is creamy, tangy, and has perfectly caramelized bits. Perfect for burgers and fries.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Onion
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Finely mince a small onion and sauté it in a little butter until deep brown and caramelized. Let it cool.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, ketchup, relish, sugar, and vinegar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cooled caramelized onions.
  4. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors marry.
  5. Spread it thick on your toasted buns or pour it over fries with melted cheese.
