Garlic Cheese Potato
This crispy and delicious garlic cheese potato recipe from 쿠킹하루 Cooking Haru :) combines tender potatoes with a savory blend of parmesan, cheddar, and aromatic seasonings. Baked until golden and crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside, these potatoes are healthier than fried alternatives and can be enjoyed with a creamy cheese sauce or on their own.
Ingredients
- 750 g Potatoes
- 1.5 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 30 g Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp Corn starch or potato starch
- 0.5 tbsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Red pepper powder
- 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 40 g Bread crumbs
- 2.5 tbsp Milk
- 40 g Cheddar cheese
- 5 g Butter
- 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
Instructions
- Peel potatoes and cut them into wedge shapes.
- Pour hot water over potatoes and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Let sit for 20 minutes to parboil.
- Remove water gently using paper towels.
- Place potatoes in a plastic bag and coat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Add parmesan cheese (30-40g), corn starch or potato starch (2 tbsp), oregano (0.5 tbsp), red pepper powder (1 tsp), salt, and minced garlic (1 tsp) to the bag.
- Shake the bag to coat potatoes evenly with seasonings.
- Add bread crumbs (40g) and shake gently to ensure coating doesn't fall off.
- Place potatoes on parchment or silicone paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 365°F for 40-50 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
- While potatoes bake, prepare cheese sauce by combining milk (2.5 tbsp), cheddar cheese (40g), and butter (5g).
- Microwave cheese sauce ingredients for 30 seconds and stir until smooth.
- Add sriracha sauce (1 tsp) to the cheese sauce and mix.
- Serve baked potatoes hot and dip in cheese sauce or enjoy plain.
