  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (light or all purpose)
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 1.5 tbsp Chinese cooking wine or dry sherry
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup cornstarch/cornflour
  • 0.5 tsp ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 scallions/shallots
