Juicy Crispy Cheburekis
Crispy golden fried pastry pockets filled with seasoned ground meat and onions. A delicious Russian-inspired dish.
Ingredients
- 0.5 kg flour
- 0.25 l boiling water
- 0.01 kg salt
- 0.05 l vegetable oil
- 0.01 l vodka
- 0.35 kg ground meat
- 0.15 kg onion
- 0.01 kg coriander
- 0.005 kg black pepper
- 0.05 l water
- 0.4 l oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine flour and boiling water in a large bowl. Mix until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle.
- Mix ground meat, onion, coriander, black pepper, and vodka in a bowl. Season with salt.
- Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Brush the edges with water and fold the dough to form a triangle.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 180°C. Fry the cheburekis until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Drain the cheburekis on paper towels and serve hot.
