Slow-Cooker Mississippi Beef Tips
These tender beef tips are cooked low and slow in a rich, tangy gravy with a subtle kick, perfectly capturing the classic Mississippi style. The combination of ranch seasoning, au jus gravy mix, and pepperoncini peppers creates an incredibly flavorful and savory dish that melts in your mouth.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 4 pepperoncini peppers
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Pat the beef tips dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 1–2 minutes per side to lock in the juices.
- Transfer the meat to the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning packet and the au jus gravy mix evenly over the beef.
- Scatter the whole pepperoncini peppers on top and pour in a splash of the pepperoncini juice.
- Top the mixture with the slices of butter.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours (or High for 3–4 hours) until the beef becomes incredibly tender and creates its own rich, savory gravy.
- Stir gently to combine the melted butter and gravy before serving.
- Scoop the tender beef tips and pepperoncinis onto a plate and serve hot over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.
