A creative fusion dish that layers minced meat with dumpling wrappers in a ramekin, steamed to create a unique take on soup dumplings. This easy Asian-inspired recipe combines traditional dumpling flavors with a lasagne-style presentation, topped with crispy chilli oil for extra flavor and heat.

Ingredients

  • 170 g minced meat
  • 3 stalks spring onion
  • ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • dumpling wrappers
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp water
  • pepper
  • crispy chilli oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the minced meat, mirin, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and water with the finely chopped spring onion and grated garlic and ginger.
  2. Stir the mixture well to combine.
  3. Fill a heat-safe ramekin by alternating between the meat mixture and 2 dumpling wrappers for each layer.
  4. Place the ramekin in a steamer or shallow water bath.
  5. Steam for at least 20 minutes.
  6. Remove and let rest before serving.
  7. Top with crispy chilli oil and green onion to garnish.
