Cheesy Garlic Potato Bread
This indulgent pan-fried bread combines a soft dough with a creamy garlic potato and mozzarella filling, finished with a golden-brown exterior and drizzle of honey. Ingredients
- 90 g strong flour (bread flour)
- 55 g milk
- 10 g unsalted butter, melted
- salt
- 1 potato
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- mozzarella cheese
- honey
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp butter
- parsley
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add milk and melted butter, then knead until smooth (8–10 minutes).
- Cover and rest for about 1 hour in the fridge.
- Peel and boil the potato until soft.
- Mash potato until smooth.
- Add garlic powder and salt to mashed potato. Mix in mayonnaise until creamy.
- Roll dough into a flat round (about 22 cm).
- Add a layer of mozzarella, then place the potato mixture in the center.
- Add more mozzarella on top.
- Fold, seal tightly, and gently flatten.
- Heat a pan with a little butter over low–medium heat.
- Cook until both sides are golden and the cheese melts inside.
- Brush with garlic butter (butter + garlic + parsley) on both sides while hot.
- Drizzle honey on top before serving.
