Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken
  • 1 cup Fried onions
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 inch Cinnamon
  • 8 Cashew
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 0.25 cup Coriander leaves
  • 4 Dry red chilli
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 cups Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1 Black cardamom
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or pressure cooker
  2. Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black pepper, cinnamon, black cardamom, and cardamom to temper the oil
  3. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes
  5. Add chicken pieces and cook on high heat until partially cooked
  6. Add yogurt/curd and mix well
  7. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt
  8. Add cashews and dry red chillies
  9. Cover and cook in pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles or until chicken is tender
  10. Once cooked, open the lid and add fried onions
  11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies
  12. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and serve hot
