Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce
A bold and tangy mustard-based BBQ sauce that's perfect for pulled pork, chicken, ribs, and everything in between. The iconic taste of South Carolina BBQ — sweet, tangy, mustardy, and smoky.
Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow mustard
- 0.5 cup apple cider vinegar
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt
Instructions
- Whisk all ingredients together in a saucepan until fully combined.
- Simmer over low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir often until smooth and well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Let cool and store in the fridge. Better after a few hours — best the next day!
