Healthy Air Fryer Orange Chicken

This recipe features a bright, tangy orange sauce made with fresh citrus, garlic, and ginger, delivering all the takeout flavor without the excess calories. Ingredients
- 2 Oranges
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 0.5 cup Zero calorie sugar substitute
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Water
- 2 tbsp Ginger
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Crushed red pepper
- 1 tbsp Orange zest
Instructions
- Chop all fresh ingredients: oranges, garlic, and ginger
- Place a pan on low to medium heat
- Squeeze 1-2 fresh oranges into the pan
- Add your sugar replacement and mix it into the orange juice
- Add your soy sauce, water, garlic, and ginger
- Mix well and let reduce about 1/8 of the liquid, stirring frequently to avoid edges burning
- Add cornstarch and mix in well, breaking up any clumps
- Optionally add 1 tbsp of crushed red pepper
- Reduce heat to low and stir until sauce thickens
- Remove from heat and allow sauce to thicken more
- Optionally strain sauce for a smoother texture
- Add 1 tbsp of orange zest and mix in
- Serve sauce over chicken and rice or on a chicken sandwich
