Ingredients

  • 1 Whole abalone (frozen)
  • 0.75 Abalone pieces/steaks (3 portions)
  • 0.25 cup Sesame oil
  • 0.5 piece Ginger
  • 0.5 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.125 cup Honey
  • 0.25 cup Green onions
  • 0.125 cup Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen abalone under cold running water, then pat dry with paper towels. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill the abalone pieces for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, and chopped green onions. Stir in sesame seeds.
  4. Cut the grilled abalone into thin slices and serve with the sesame-ginger dipping sauce.
